1WIN was not prepared to face Cloud9

Egor "RESPECT" Prokurat, the support player for 1WIN, shared his thoughts on his team's victory over Team Zero at The International 2024.

He mentioned that the team had expected a 2-0 win and felt confident. The last two days had been tough, with the team putting in significant effort to address their issues after a poor start to the tournament.

The team had been working on various aspects, both in and out of the game, discussing how each player felt during matches and how communication should be improved. They also reviewed numerous scrims and analysed their recordings to find solutions.

Reflecting on their previous match against Cloud9, he noted that the opponent had outplayed them in every way, including areas not directly related to the game itself. The team had not been mentally prepared for that encounter.

The International 2024 takes place from 4 to 15 September in Copenhagen, with 16 teams participating. The prize pool exceeds $2.4 million and continues to grow through compendium sales.
