33 always wanted to play with Nightfall

The off-laner of the Western European team Tundra Esports, Neta "33" Shapira, shared his thoughts on his new teammate, Yegor "Nightfall" Grigorenko. He expressed that he had always wanted to play alongside Nightfall and had been a fan of his since the early days when he was just an unknown player in matchmaking. Shapira recalled playing with him in pubs and adding him to his friends list, believing even then that Nightfall had a good understanding of the game. He conveyed that he enjoyed playing with him for this reason.

While Nightfall was playing the off-lane for Evil Geniuses, Shapira often sought his advice on builds and heroes. Whenever he devised a new build, he would ask Nightfall for his opinion, acknowledging that if Nightfall dismissed it as "garbage," it made him reconsider. Shapira expressed his excitement about finally having the opportunity to play together on the same team.

Earlier, 33 also discussed his departure from Team Liquid shortly after The International 2024. He mentioned having the option to form his team within Tundra Esports, which he had to weigh against staying with Team Liquid for another year. He described the latter option as pleasant but noted that during reshuffles, players often face a multitude of poor choices. He felt fortunate to find himself in a situation where he had to choose between two strong options.

Shapira admitted that it was a challenging decision, one he pondered for several weeks. He resolved to make his choice before The International, not wanting the emotional weight of the tournament to cloud his judgement afterward. He reflected that he never expected to leave Tundra Esports after their first TI victory, having experienced those emotions. However, he emphasized that the tournament, while significant, did not fundamentally alter his life trajectory.
