Ahilles about 1win Team's form at TI13

Timur "Ahilles" Kulmukhambetov, coach of 1win Team, reflected on the team's current form heading into The International 2024 Dota 2 tournament. In an interview with Metaratings.ru, he admitted that the team's form wasn’t at its peak, attributing it to an oversaturation of Dota 2 in recent times. However, based on recent practice matches, he noted that the team is starting to regain momentum.

Ahilles also mentioned that taking a break before TI13 might not have guaranteed better results for the team. He pondered that while more rest could have provided a strong boost, it could also have led to a worse performance. He added that it’s a difficult question, as some teams also play extensively without it negatively affecting them, pointing out that nouns had played a lot but remained competitive.

The International 2024 is running from 4 to 15 September in a LAN format. 1win Team finished the group stage with a 2-4 record and lost a tiebreaker match to Cloud9, placing them in the lower bracket for the playoffs.
