The International 2024 stands as one of the premier Dota 2 events of the year, marking the pinnacle of the esports season. This year, the prestigious tournament will unfold in Copenhagen, Denmark, returning the grand spectacle to Europe once again. In late May, Valve provided further insights into the event, including the initial lineup of six teams receiving direct invites. Here's what we know about the participating teams at The International 2024.
Which teams will participate in The International 2024?
The International 2024 will showcase a total of 16 competing teams, comprising six direct invites and ten teams qualifying through regional qualifiers. Below is the comprehensive roster of participating teams in The International 2024:

Qualified Teams
The ten teams eligible to qualify for the event remain undisclosed. They will battle it out in the regional qualifiers leading up to The International 2024:

- South America (Two Teams).
When is The International 2024?
The International 2024 is scheduled to occur in the first half of September, featuring top-tier Dota 2 teams in electrifying action. Preceding The International, Dota 2 esports enthusiasts will converge in Riyadh for the Esports World Cup.
The journey to The International will officially commence with Open Qualifiers for all six regions from June 3rd to 8th, followed by the Regional Qualifiers as outlined above.
After the initial stages and once the tournament field is complete, the Road to The International will proceed as all sixteen teams convene in Copenhagen. The two-day Group Stage is set to kick off on Wednesday, September 4th, followed immediately by the five-day Playoffs, a studio production running through Tuesday, September 10th.
