Arteezy Faces Tough Challenge with Faceless Void – PGL Wallachia 2024

Despite reuniting with Sumail, Arteezy faces a challenging match.

The group stage of PGL Wallachia has been filled with excitement and intense matchups as all 16 teams battle it out. With constant series and upsets, the competition has been fierce.

The showdown between Boom Esports and Shopify Rebellion went the full three-game series, but it was game three that highlighted Arteezy's struggles on Faceless Void.

The Struggle of Arteezy's Faceless Void against Boom Esports

Despite Shopify Rebellion incorporating new stand-ins into their roster, game three against Boom Esports proved to be a tough ordeal. Reddit labeled it as Arteezy's toughest performance yet, with only 4.8k damage dealt over the 42-minute match as Faceless Void. However, Reddit's assessments can sometimes be exaggerated.

The series began evenly, with Shopify drafting a standard lineup consisting of Faceless Void, TA, and Centaur as cores, and Phoenix and SD as supports. Meanwhile, Boom Esports opted for Kunkka, Brewmaster, and Luna as cores, supported by Bane and Hoodwink.

In summary, Boom had ample lockdown and tools to neutralize Shopify's cores at any point in the game, making it difficult for Arteezy's Faceless Void to shine.

The majority of the match unfolded in a similar vein, with Shopify's cores struggling to make an impact. Arteezy faced criticism for underutilizing his Chronosphere, but the constant threat from Boom's lineup made it risky to use it.

The pivotal moment came when Arteezy attempted to pick off Boom's Hoodwink near the Radiant tier-one tower while the rest of Boom pushed Dire's bottom racks. However, Boom swiftly turned the tables, eliminating Arteezy's Faceless Void without buyback, sealing Shopify's fate, and eliminating them from PGL Wallachia.
