In Dota, a new event has begun and a candy shop has opened.
Alongside the "Fallen Crown" update in Dota, a candy shop has opened, and the first act of the "Crossroads Markets" adventure has started. The event is designed in the style of a visual novel - players collect tokens and progress through the storyline, unlocking new stories and dialogues.
"Help Shen and Dragonus navigate the bustling streets of the Skywrath Kingdom on their path to reclaim the throne! Meet new characters and reunite with old favorites, uncover dark secrets, complete incredible side quests, and sometimes relax with some fishing. The further you progress on the detailed interactive map, the more rewards await you," the adventure description says.
Players can earn tokens for participation, travel with them on the event map, and earn treasures, candies, and coins.
As rewards, players can receive treasure chests, item sets, couriers, and wards in the candy caravan of Sizel and Quirt (with a chance to get Arcanas). Event coins can be exchanged for approximately a $7.99 discount on the next purchase in the "Fallen Crown" store.
The event is available for free, but players can purchase the Crossroads Explorer Bundle for $15, which grants access to additional quests and new areas of the map with special rewards.
Previously, Valve launched the candy shop during the Diretide event in the fall of 2022.
