BetBoom Team's Dota 2 coach Anatoly "boo1k" Ivanov explained why the team stopped using a psychologist. According to him, it didn't bring any benefit.
"We tried working with a psychologist. We are generally not against it... It's been a while, and the team is still without a psychologist. It was just ineffective, no joke. How did you measure effectiveness? The person who worked with us had no experience in esports before. It was hard for her to understand what her contribution could be. She even said that she didn't understand how she could help," said Anatoly "boo1k" Ivanov.
Boo1k added that there are no clear rules in esports on how a player should behave with teammates and other representatives of the discipline. As an example, Ivanov mentioned traditional sports, where future athletes are taught social skills from an early age.
