Team Spirit player Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov talked about the current off-lane meta at Riyadh Masters 2024 in Dota 2. He believes his signature heroes have become slightly weaker, but he has other characters in his pool.
When asked about his signature off-lane heroes, Khalilov explained, "Picking Magnus for us is a risk. This hero is pretty bad right now. As for Mars, I’m not sure; it’s more like 50-50. I’m not confident in him because I’ve already lost 3 or 4 lanes in a row on him. He’s also pretty bad for me.
Other heroes like Brewmaster, Dark Seer, or Beastmaster—we’ve been training them in scrims for the last two weeks. So, I’m ready to play them."
When asked if they trained offline-Morphling, Khalilov said, "We tried playing him today in scrims but lost to Doom. I'm not sure if he will appear in officials. We might pick him, but definitely not against Doom."
Team Spirit defeated LGD Gaming 2:0 in the first round of the lower bracket. Next, Khalilov’s team will face the winner of OG vs. PSG Quest. At the time of publication, their match has already started, and the score is yet to be decided.
Riyadh Masters 2024 runs from July 4 to 21 in Saudi Arabia. Participants are competing for a $5 million prize pool. BetBoom Team from Eastern Europe is also fighting for survival in the lower bracket playoffs.
