Team Spirit's offlaner Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov gave an interview after their victory over Nigma Galaxy in the group stage of the 1win Series Dota 2 Summer. He hinted that the team views this tournament as preparation for the Riyadh Masters 2024.
"We're just testing heroes, that's all. The ones we pick in scrims and in the tournament itself. So, I don't have strong emotions after the match with NGX," Collapse said. "We don't really have a goal to win the championship. We're just warming up. Honestly, I also hoped for a good performance from Miracle-. I was thinking about who’s my main opponent in this tournament. Let it be Gaimin Gladiators."
Spirit defeated Nigma with a score of 1-0. Collapse played the match on Beastmaster with a 10-1-11 stat line. In the next match, the team defeated beastcoast in a bo1 series, securing a spot in the tournament playoffs.
The 1win Series Dota 2 Summer runs from June 27 to 30 online. Participants are competing for a $100,000 prize pool.
