Franck "Cr1t-" Nielsen, in a brief interview with organisers of BLAST Slam I, shared his thoughts on his team Falcons’ journey at The International 2024. He highlighted that this was the team’s first TI appearance, and for Malr1ne in particular, and admitted he couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason for their defeat at the tournament.
“It’s hard to say why we didn’t win, especially considering how well we performed in some of the lower bracket matches. In our first game against Tundra Esports, we decided to take a risk, but it didn’t pay off. When you’re on the brink of elimination, the pressure is immense, and it’s easy to let your emotions take over. In that sense, TI is different from other tournaments,” Cr1t- explained.
He also shared his perspective on his career goals, stating, “Winning TI has always been my ultimate goal, but I’m already proud of what I’ve accomplished. Even if my career ends before I win TI, I will still be proud of what I’ve done. And now, with Riyadh Masters, that’s another important event for us, especially since we represent a Saudi Arabian organisation.”
BLAST Slam I takes place from 26 November to 1 December in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a prize pool of $1 million.
