In the early hours of November 13, Valve released an update for Dota 2 aimed at balancing the new hero, Kez. This patch marks the second adjustment in a few days; the previous one strengthened Kez, raising their win rate from 36% to 49%. The latest update includes several nerfs to balance the hero's power.
Key Changes for Kez:
- Kazurai Katana: Damage per second reduced from 7/8/9/10% to 6/7/8/9%.
- Falcon Rush:
- Base attack speed (Katana) increased from 1.3/1.2/1.1/1.0 to 1.4/1.3/1.2/1.1.
- Duration decreased from 7 seconds to 3/4/5/6 seconds.
- Raptor Dance: Cooldown increased from 40/32/24 seconds to 40/35/30 seconds.
- Raven's Veil: Cooldown increased from 40/32/24 seconds to 40/35/30 seconds.
- Grappling Claw:
- Fixed a bug where the chain did not break if the target was out of range.
- Corrected interaction to not ignore evasion.
- Shodo Sai: Fixed interactions where the damage marker dealt more damage than intended.
- Echo Slash:
- No longer ignores evasion.
- Will no longer kill couriers.
- Fixed a bug that allowed the hero to break free from movement-restricting abilities like Kinetic Field from Disruptor.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed client crash when using Moon Shard.
- Addressed a server crash linked to Ogre Seal Totem and Lone Druid.
- Various quick-buy issues fixed.
- Unlocked styles for arcana items Shen and Dragonus now properly provide special cursor sets.
- Fixed unlocking issues for the Primal Prowl set for Juggernaut.
- Resolved several crashes in Act IV of Crownfall.
- In Ability Draft, victory rewards changed from 3 tokens and 2 scrap to 2 tokens and 8 scrap.
Additional Fixes in Game Modes:
- Spleen Sweeper:
- Added a score information section to the main menu for match results.
- Fixed the final stage, not granting a bonus for achieving 4,000 points.
- Castle Carnage:
- Resolved missing particle model for Tunneler and grenade bounce issues.
- Fixed an invisible barrier blocking certain shots.
- Spoon Man:
- Addressed an issue where the cursor remained invisible after a pop-up window appeared.
- Fixed a crash occurring when pressing a button before the game fully loaded.
