Dota — became work

Russian esports player and caster Maxim 'Shachlo' Abramovsky shared in his personal Telegram channel that he currently lacks the motivation to play Dota 2 consistently.

He mentioned noticing comments in the chat comparing his current state to the past, noting that while he used to be highly active, he now struggles to keep up. Abramovsky explained that maintaining a high level of play in Dota 2 requires constant practice, which has become more of a job for him over recent years. He would force himself to play 8-10 games a day, including qualifiers, to keep up his rank. Consequently, when he had the chance to take a break, he did so. Abramovsky believes that if he found the motivation to play as much as he used to, he could still achieve a high level of performance, even at his age. However, he has no plans to return to competitive play and no longer finds Dota 2 enjoyable. He wished everyone well in his message.
