Gaimin Gladiators' carry, Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov, reflected on his team's performance at the Riyadh Masters 2023 in Dota 2. He mentioned that the team did not take the tournament seriously last year, but they plan to aim for a win this time around.
"Last year was challenging because I was getting my visa for The International," said Shkredov. "Due to that, we didn’t train. That year, we won five tournaments in a row, so we didn’t have much time to relax."
"We didn't prepare for Riyadh Masters 2023. We had issues throughout the tournament, but we still managed to place in the top 4. It wasn’t our best result. That event marked the end of our winning streak. This year, I hope we achieve more. We’re going to be more focused. We plan to put more effort into this tournament and aim to win it," explained Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov
The Riyadh Masters 2024 will take place from July 19 to July 30 in Saudi Arabia, with teams competing for a prize pool of $5 million. The matches will be commented on by the FUSSIRE studio, which has secured broadcasting rights until 2026.
