During his Twitch stream, Kamil 'Koma`' Biktimirov discussed the impact of rating inflation in Dota 2 and how double betting tokens are disrupting the ranking system.
He explained that the introduction of double betting tokens has significantly skewed the ranked play system, leading to players with inflated ratings, such as those reaching 15,000 points. Biktimirov pointed out that even if a player consistently performs well, they will still eventually climb the ranks, despite the current large rating discrepancies.
He criticised the system, noting that a player with a 45% win rate could still increase their rating if they use double betting tokens to secure wins in easy games while avoiding riskier matches. Biktimirov expressed frustration with the system, describing it as flawed and unfair.
Previously, streamer Jean 'Gorgc' Stefanovski from Sweden reached 12,000 MMR and called for removing double betting tokens and resetting the rating system.
