First game on carry Shaker in 5 years

At ESL One Bangkok 2024, players continue to showcase interesting strategies and unexpected moves. In an interview after the match between PARIVISION and BetBoom Team, Remko "Crystallis" Arets shared several amusing moments, including his play on Razor. He explained that he often gets the hero at the start of the tournament, only for it to disappear from the draft later on. Regarding his fountain dive, Crystallis remarked, "Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t," adding that in this case, he simply got unlucky due to missing several times on Brewmaster, who had 100% evasion.

As for his role on Razor, Crystallis said:

"I just press Static Link and chase the guy until the end. It works, that’s it."

He’s not sure why it works, but the hero seems to fit his playstyle perfectly. When reflecting on the first day's results, he rated his performance at 50%, as he didn’t win both games, but was happy that at least he didn’t lose them all.

In another interview, Omar "OmaR" Mughrabi talked about his matches against Gaozu and BetBoom Team. He shared his thoughts on the Magnus versus Rubick matchup:

"I’m comfortable playing both heroes. It’s a two-way matchup. It depends on how each player uses their abilities."

He also explained the choice of Terrorblade over Morphling and Razor, noting that Terrorblade was a good pick for a tempo carry with building damage, but the team still felt confident about winning, despite some tough fights.

One of the most surprising moments was Oliver "Skiter" Lepko picking Shaker as a carry in the match between Falcons and Boom. This was Skiter’s first appearance on Shaker in a pro match in 7.5 years. However, he didn’t disappoint, finishing the game with an impressive 8-5-17 score. Falcons secured the victory with a 34:22 result after 55 minutes. Skiter had previously won 5 out of 6 games on Shaker in pubs, and this pro debut was a success.

The ESL One Bangkok 2024 tournament continues to surprise viewers, with teams vying for top spots in the standings. In Group A, Falcons are leading with 6 out of 7 games won, while the competition in Group B remains intense.
