BetBoom Team has announced a temporary roster change for the upcoming BLAST Slam I tournament in Copenhagen. Mid-laner Daniil "gpk" Skutin will step in to replace Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov, who is unable to attend. This marks a return to competitive play for gpk, who represented BetBoom Team from December 2022 to September 2024 before going inactive after The International 2024.
The roster for BetBoom Team at BLAST Slam I is as follows:
- Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko (Russia)
- Daniil "gpk" Skutin (Russia, stand-in)
- Matvey "MieRo" Vasyunin (Russia)
- Vitaliy "Save-" Melnik (Moldova)
- Vladislav "Kataomi`" Semenov (Russia)
BetBoom’s management explained the change. Luka "Lukawa" Nasuashvili, the team manager, cited visa complications as the main reason for the decision. Due to logistical challenges caused by post-TI reshuffles and player breaks, the team was unable to secure travel arrangements for both Kiyotaka and their analyst Anatoly. However, both will rejoin the team for ESL One Bangkok in December.
Gpk expressed enthusiasm for his return, stating on Telegram:
"I got tired of streaming, so when the guys from BetBoom asked me to stand in, I agreed without hesitation. See you in Copenhagen on the 26th!"
BLAST Slam I, running from 26 November to 1 December, will feature ten teams competing for a $1 million prize pool. Fans eagerly anticipate gpk’s return to action as BetBoom looks to make a strong impression at the prestigious event.
