Information about the internal workings of Valve has surfaced online. It was revealed that in 2021, the company had only 336 employees. This was reported by journalists from The Verge.
181 employees worked on games, 79 people improved the Steam store and client, and the rest were involved in hardware and administrative roles. On average, title developers at Valve earn about a million dollars a year.
If this information is true, Valve can be considered one of the smallest companies. For example, Ubisoft employs over 19,000 people, and Electronic Arts has 13,000.
Earlier, Valve added three mini-games to Dota 2. In the third act of "The Fallen Crown," a Street Fighter analog, a match-3 game, and a scrolling shooter appeared.
