INSaNiA became the oldest winner of The International

Team Liquid's Dota 2 player Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi became the oldest champion of The International, winning the tournament at the age of 30 years and 89 days.

INSaNiA began his professional career in 2016 and had previously played for Alliance, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and other teams before joining Liquid. His best previous result at The International was a third-place finish at TI11.

The previous record for the oldest TI champion was held by Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu, who was 27 years and 180 days old when he won TI11.

The International 2024 took place from 4 to 15 September in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a prize pool of $2.5 million. In the grand final, Liquid defeated Gaimin Gladiators 3:0.
