The groups have been finalized for the Group Stage of Riyadh Masters 2024, which is set to begin on Wednesday, July 10th.The last Play-in Stage games concluded yesterday, wrapping up with the decider matches. Although eight teams advanced, their placements were not revealed until today;
As with most things in Dota 2 lately, the results are somewhat unpredictable;
The seedings are supposed to be based on the EPT rankings throughout the year; However, on paper, it seems that Group A is the 'group of death,' while Group B appears more balanced and without the same level of heavy hitters;

Group A
Group A boasts not only THE team to beat, Team Falcons, but also Team Spirit, who have been performing strongly at the end of the season. Although OG doesn't have the results to back them up, the 'ceb effect' is quite real, and ceb was absent from the TI qualifiers. It might not be Gaimin Gladiators' year, but they are still strong contenders; Rounding out the group are three SEA/SA teams who have definitely shown up for this event;

Group B
Group B has consistency on its side; BetBoom and Xtreme Gaming have secured podium finishes throughout the entire season and should have no trouble advancing to the upper brackets; Tundra and Liquid have been consistently mid-tier at best; Most of these teams seem predictable, despite the two dark horses from the Play-in Stage, PSG.Quest and MOUZ, being seeded together; This group feels balanced overall;
But if our predictions from the Play-in Stage mean anything, we should throw caution to the wind and see where everyone's fate lies;

- Top four teams from each group advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs;
- 5th and 6th place teams from each group advance to the lower bracket of the playoffs;
- Remaining teams are eliminated;
Riyadh Masters/ESWC 2024 Prize Pool
The Esports World Cup 2024 will feature 22 different competitions, most with a million-dollar prize pool; Dota 2 has the largest prize pool, $5 million, followed by PUBG Mobile with $3.8 million and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang with $3.5 million;
Although this is the largest prize pool of all 19 tournaments at the Esports World Cup, the $5,000,000 is just a quarter of last year’s Riyadh Masters edition, which had $15,000,000 to offer;
The $5,000,000 and 2,390 Club Points will be distributed as follows:
