Kez: A Controversial Hero in Dota 2

Kez is an exceptionally niche hero in Dota 2, and many players are calling for a nerf due to the hero's overwhelming potential in the right hands. Despite this, Kez's win rate does not exceed 50%.

The Reddit community has expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of Kez.

The recent adjustments to the hero in the latest patch were widely regarded as a step in the right direction by Valve. Players and Redditors agree that these changes have helped distinguish those who only picked Kez for the overpowered Falcon Rush ability. However, public match players are urging Valve to refrain from buffing Kez further and to consider implementing additional nerfs to the hero.

What the mid-laner of PARIVISION, Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko, thinks:

"I don't know if Kez is a good mid-laner, but I know he's an absolute broken hero. I can't win a single pub game against him unless I outplay him in a fight. If you pick Kez with Oracle, Tusk, or Shadow Demon, and the support plays well – you’ve won. And Kez has to be able to play too."

Although Kez's overall win rate hovers around 50%, some players have demonstrated remarkable skill with the hero, achieving significantly higher success rates. A prime example is Wang "Ame" Chunyu, who devised a build for Kez that boasts an impressive 72.7% win rate.
