Kiritych and God Explain Virtus.pro's Failure in The International 2024 Qualifiers

Virtus.pro members explained why they performed poorly in the Eastern Europe qualifiers for The International 2024. Ilya "Kiritych" Ulyanov believes the team didn't discuss the game enough, while Sergey "God" Bragin cited overconfidence as a problem.

"We are ready to keep winning. I hope we will talk more about Dota than during the TI qualifiers. I think when you talk less and play more pub games, you don't discuss any worries or emotions. This greatly affects team play. After the loss, there was an emptiness. Everyone worked hard and believed we would get better despite the poor start. But nothing changed. It was very painful," Kiritych said.

"I think our team faced an ego problem. When you approach the qualifiers as a favorite, you consider yourself the king. You're the coolest frog in the pond. This made us slack and relaxed. I think you should always be aware of your place in Dota's food chain and not think within the confines of qualifiers," God explained.

Virtus.pro failed to qualify for The International 2024. In the upper bracket, they lost to 9Pandas, and in the lower bracket, they lost to the L1GA Team.
