Team Spirit manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov explained why the team opted to compete at the Super Dimensional Vision Snow Ruyi in Dota 2. The team wanted to gain practice playing against Chinese teams, so they declined other offers.
"Many people asked why we chose the LAN in China over the Elite League. Due to the league's schedule, which involved flying to Peru immediately after Riyadh Masters 2024, our management was confident that many teams would decline participation. We specifically wanted to train with Chinese teams because we already scrim a lot with Europe. The Chinese region performed quite well during the season leading up to Riyadh," said Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov.
"Riyadh itself was a pleasant tournament; thanks for the workspace for managers. The only thing that concerns me is the peak viewership, which is depressingly low. Probably due to the bo2 groups and play-in stages, there will be enough watch hours, but the peak number is very modest."
The Super Dimensional Vision Snow Ruyi will take place from July 28 to August 4 in Zhangjiakou, China. Participants from around the world will compete for $500,000.
