Commentator Alexey 'Lex' Filippov commented on the Hand of Midas bug in Dota 2 through his Telegram channel.
Alexey 'Lex' Filippov shared that it was a typical day in Dota: he joined a patrol, reported all the Midas users (which was essentially the entire patrol), and then exited the game. He reminded players that the bug with Midas is being exploited not only by casual players but also by esports professionals. He suggested that players either avoid Dota for the day or team up with friends using tempo picks and invisible heroes to steal Midas from others.
He acknowledged that players face a tough choice between easy ranking points and their integrity, but he was confident they would make the right decision. He also suggested trying Deadlock while waiting for Valve to fix the issue.
Earlier, Lex commented on the compendium, noting that he bought it out of habit but didn’t expect the prize pool to exceed three million this year.
