Commentator Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov assessed Virtus.pro's performance at Riyadh Masters 2024 in Dota 2. He was surprised by the poor showing of Artem "Fng" Barshak's team.
"We're waiting for a new roster from Virtus.pro. For me, this is the biggest shock of the Riyadh Masters 2024. It would have been one thing if they didn't qualify, but to not qualify in such a way—it's terrible. MOUZ was a gift; there was no one better they could have faced. But Virtus.pro lost 0:2," Maelstorm commented.
In the tie-breaker match, Virtus.pro lost to MOUZ 0-2. Barshak's team left the tournament, placing 17-18th and earning $25,000.
Riyadh Masters 2024 runs from July 4 to 21 in Saudi Arabia, with teams competing for $5 million. Eastern Europe is also represented by the BetBoom Team and Team Spirit.
