Commentator Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov discussed the future of NAVI Junior following the qualifiers for The International 2024 in Dota 2. He is confident that some players from the team will excel at high levels.
"I don't know how the match for NAVI Junior will end, but the fact that a team of 15 to 19-year-olds got this far is interesting. Of course, this lineup might not be optimal, but undoubtedly, we will see some of these players at very, very high levels in the future. In the past, a systematic approach in Dota has proven to be very strong," Maelstorm said.
NAVI Junior lost to PSG Quest in the lower bracket semifinals with a score of 0-2. The team finished third in the qualifiers, losing their chance to qualify for TI13. Their next event will be the qualifiers for the FISSURE & ESB Elite League 2024 Season 2, starting on June 27.
The regional qualifiers for The International 2024 took place online from June 9 to 23. Participants competed for ten slots at the world championship, which will be held from September 4 to 15 in Copenhagen. The tournament's prize pool will be announced later.
