Maelstorm responded to Korb3n's words

The commentator Vladimir 'Maelstorm' Kuzminov responded to Dmitry 'Korb3n' Belov’s comments regarding the differing penalties for similar infractions at Clavision: Snow Ruyi and Bali Major 2023.

Vladimir Kuzminov expressed surprise at the detailed account provided by Dmitry Korb3n, noting that the reasons for the decisions being reviewed three times were not mentioned. He suggested that the reviews were due to the influence of the administration.

Kuzminov pointed out that the violations in question were nearly identical. He noted that Pure had watched a stream featuring comedians with no game-related content, while Siamese.c had watched a stream of PUBG, the relevance of which was unclear. He stressed that the rulebooks for both tournament organisers did not specify punishments for such infractions, leaving it to the discretion of the administrators. He remarked that the initial punishment for Bali Pure was considerably lighter and was only changed due to the administration’s intervention. Kuzminov also mentioned that 33, who was punished for using Spotify, received a much milder penalty despite Spotify being capable of providing significant information, and that this had even been discussed on Reddit.

He argued that although different tournament organisers have varying rules, the rules in this instance were similar concerning the infraction. He concluded that, given the similar rulebooks and violations, the punishments were outrageously different. Kuzminov acknowledged that if one finds this acceptable, that is their prerogative, but he found the discrepancy troubling. He felt the issue was ironic due to the involvement of the administration, and expressed frustration at being the only commentator discussing the matter. He concluded by mentioning that there were players from VP involved in APEX drafts, which he planned to address in a subsequent post.
