In an interview following their victory over Shopify Rebellion at Elite League Season 2, Team Liquid's carry, Mike 'miCKe' Wu, discussed the draft for the second map, his expectations for the tournament, and shared his thoughts on Peruvian fans.
MiCKe expressed that their primary expectation from the tournament was to continue their winning streak. He confirmed their intent to keep outperforming South American teams.
Regarding the impact of time zone changes on their performance, miCKe noted that it didn't affect them significantly. He mentioned that as Team Liquid, they are accustomed to losing quickly and learning from their mistakes, and that nothing unusual had occurred.
When asked about facing Peruvian fans again, especially if they end up in the final against a South American team, miCKe reflected positively on the experience. He recalled that the fans were fantastic last year and mentioned that he enjoyed playing in front of Peruvian audiences. He acknowledged that while the crowd might boo, he saw it as a part of the game and something fun to engage with.
On the topic of the draft, miCKe explained that they had chosen to have Sven as a support because iNSaNiA felt very comfortable with the hero. He noted that they had no intention of changing this setup. miCKe also mentioned that both he and Boxi play Morphling, with him playing it as a carry. He emphasised that in this particular game, he was more eager to take on the Morphling role.
