Offlaner for BetBoom Team, Matvey "MieRo" Vasyunin, gave an interview after defeating OG at ESL One Birmingham 2024 in Dota 2. The esports player talked about the accidental pick of Lifestealer and shared expectations for the match against Tundra.
"[About Lifestealer]
[Can you tell us about the Lifestealer pick in the second game?] It was just a draft misclick (laughs). We were choosing between two heroes for the offlane, planning to ban Lifestealer, but ended up picking him.
[Are you satisfied with your performance, considering you almost won that game?] I could've played better. We had a great start to the match, but in the middle, we engaged in random fights that allowed OG to take towers, build their advantage, and so on.
[About the match against Tundra]
Pure~ wasn't my teammate; he played with the rest of my team. Perhaps this match means something to them, but I'll just focus on showcasing my game." - Matvey "MieRo" Vasyunin
