The mid-laner for Western European Team Liquid, Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, reflected on his career and shared his thoughts on Dota 2 balance updates during an interview at the BLAST Slam I tournament.
The Polish player highlighted how his transfer to Team Secret was a turning point in his professional development:
"Before joining Team Secret, I didn’t fully understand what it meant to be a professional player. That period was crucial for my career. I learned so much, not just from Puppey but also from zai and MATUMBAMAN. They were an inspiration, and thanks to them, I became The International champion."
Nisha also discussed the frequency of balance updates, expressing a desire for more frequent patches, especially those addressing overused heroes:
"I like that small balance patches are released, but honestly, there aren’t enough of them. For example, Wraith King got nerfed, but Dragon Knight, who’s been a first-pick hero for over a month, wasn’t touched at all. Maybe Valve are focusing on buffing underpicked heroes, but I’d prefer updates to come more often and be more substantial."
Additionally, he expressed a desire for changes to the gameplay and map design:
"The map is starting to feel stale. Some small changes could make the game more refreshing. Also, I think the vision at night is too restrictive — that’s something that should be adjusted."
The BLAST Slam I tournament is being held from 26 November to 1 December in Copenhagen, Denmark, with participants competing for a $1 million prize pool.
