Content creator Alexander "Nix" Levin shared his thoughts on the gaming abilities of Oliver "skiter" Lepko. The streamer's quote about the carry came during the first map of the Team Falcons - Team Spirit match at the Elite League 2024 for Dota 2.
"I think he's *** [bad] as a combat unit, but his teammates cover his gaps. Not every NBA champion with Michael Jordan in the same team was a *** [super cool] athlete. Some just need to play to get the lobby going. <...> Skiter is an ordinary player. I've seen so many mess-ups from him. When he plays his heroes, there are zero complaints about him.
In my understanding, he's not a carry, he's the one throwing stuns. He can't take responsibility as a carry. If the game relies on Skiter, he'll never win it. I've been following him for years, he always messes up, misses buttons, and so on. Realizing this, he understood how to play better. That's worthy of respect. Maybe he realized it himself — or maybe Sneyking did. He told him: 'Dude, let's have you play on heroes where the outcome of the matches doesn't depend so much on you, and we'll take on more damage ourselves.' Skiter is lucky that the meta has shifted so much, all of his signature heroes are in the meta.
For someone like Miracle-, who has spent his whole life training Anti-Mage, Phantom Assassin, and Faceless Void, it's not as enjoyable to play. Skiter has never played them at all. He has always been on Luna and Sven, who were *** [weak]. He sucked *** [penis]. But now his meta has aligned. When Anti-Mage, Phantom Assassin, and Void return, he will suck *** [penis]. If this guy consistently shows me in different styles that he's a strong carry, I'll change my stance. But Oliver messed up in crucial matches. <...> Skiter is a leech player who got lucky with the meta. That's all." - Alexander "Nix" Levin
Falcons with Skiter debuted at the Elite League 2024 with a victory over PSG Quest with a score of 2-0. Lepko's statistics in the series: 16-5-19.
