North America has witnessed a tumultuous back-and-forth stint between nouns and Shopify Rebellion. The two teams are the best in the region, being the only tier 1 contenders.

However, for many NA qualifiers this year, nouns continuously lost to Shopify Rebellion. This resulted in nouns missing a barrage of tier 1 events including DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham, and DreamLeague Season 23.

Fortunately, nouns found their footing for the crucial Riyadh Masters, barely edging out Shopify Rebellion in the qualifiers. This victory comes after Shopify Rebellion underwent some massive roster changes, including a change in its position 4 and the departure of Jonáš «SabeRLight-» Volek, who was replaced by TI winner Ivan «MinD_ContRoL» Ivanov.

With this victory, nouns officially join the Riyadh Masters lineup alongside prominent teams like Team Spirit, Team Falcons, and Gaimin Gladiators. Riyadh Masters begins in early July and will span almost three weeks!

The Riyadh Masters will take place from July 4 to 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This high-profile tournament is part of the massive Esports World Cup, featuring more than a dozen esports competitions for a month. Dota 2 boasts the largest prize pool, offering $5 million at the event and an additional $5 million for the qualifiers.
