Analyst and streamer Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov shared his thoughts on the top carry players in the professional Dota 2 scene. He believes that Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi no longer holds the title of the best.
"Miracle- is a legend, possibly the greatest player in Dota history, as many would argue," expressed NS. "However, it seems he was the best during a specific period of the game. Back then, Miracle- dominated. But now, he can’t perform like he did before. Today, the geniuses of Dota are dyrachyo and skiter. These are the carry players who excel. They might not play in the most flashy way for the audience, but they do everything perfectly in the current meta. The style of play that Miracle- wants to execute just doesn’t work anymore. Everything evolves."
Earlier, Kuznetsov discussed his departure from the RuHub studio, where his ideas for development weren't well received.
In early June, NS criticized Nigma Galaxy and Miracle-, noting that the team had not delivered satisfactory results for some time. Recently, they also failed to qualify for the Riyadh Masters 2024.
