NS on TI13 Qualifiers: "It's a pity Dendi no longer plays in North America; B8 would have had a decent chance"

Analyst and streamer Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov found the lineup for the North American qualifiers for The International 2024 (TI13) in Dota 2 amusing. He commented on the state of the region, considering the mix of teams participating.

"It's laughable how things are in North American Dota," NS remarked. "Look at the closed qualifiers for TI—who are these people? Nouns and SR are understandable, but the third team with an invite—La Correntada—who are they? From the open qualifiers, it’s basically just anyone who managed to register," said Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm not against new players and teams, but this isn’t a case where exciting and talented newcomers are breaking into the qualifiers. Here, there's simply no one left to play in this dead region, so the closed qualifiers include any random group that decided to sign up in the open ones. It's a pity Dendi isn’t playing here anymore; B8 would have had a decent chance," NS added.

In 2023, B8 competed in the North American region. The team finished second in the regional qualifiers, losing to nouns in the match for a spot at The International 2023.

The qualifiers for The International 2024 in North America are being held online from June 9 to 13. Participants are competing for a single slot at the world championship. This will be the only representative from the region at the tournament, as no teams from North America received a direct invite to the world championship.
