OneJey Reveals How He Became a Stand-In for Nigma Galaxy

Ivan 'OneJey' Zhyvitsky, the stand-in for Nigma Galaxy at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational, shared the story of his invitation to the team in an interview with Metaratings.ru.

He recounted that he received a message from his manager in the afternoon while he was taking a nap. The message informed him that Nigma Galaxy was interested in having him stand in for KuroKy at the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational. Initially, he was stunned, but he quickly felt excited and agreed to the offer. He sees this opportunity as a great chance to showcase his skills and play with top-tier players.

OneJey also commented on the reasons behind the roster changes at Nigma Galaxy and his interactions with the team members.

On why KuroKy is missing the tournament:

He explained that he was not given many details but was informed that KuroKy would not be able to travel to China, as well as Miracle. He mentioned that they are playing without them but didn’t know the specifics of their situations.

On team coordination and role distribution:

Due to the players being on different continents and the potential for high ping, they did not have any clan wars. However, OneJey communicated with Fbz to discuss strategies and role preferences. He advised Fbz to consider players for the 3-4 positions and shared his ideas on how he prefers to play.

OneJey plays the fourth position while GH is on the fifth. He was informed by Nigma Galaxy that this would be the role distribution, especially since GH has extensive experience playing as a five in pubs. It would be unusual for OneJey to take the fifth position given his lack of experience in that role.

The Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational runs from July 28 to August 4 in Zhangjiakou, China. The tournament features a prize pool of $500,000. In addition to KuroKy, carry player Miracle- is also absent, with Daniel 'Ghost' Chan replacing him.
