Russian team PARIVISION defeated Sweden Team Liquid 3:1 in the grand final to claim the championship title at ESL One Bangkok 2024.
The tournament was held from 9 to 15 December in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring 12 of the world’s top teams competing for a prize pool of one million US dollars. The champions, PARIVISION, secured $300,000, while Team Liquid, as runners-up, earned $175,000. The prize distribution was as follows:
- 1st place: PARIVISION — $300,000
- 2nd place: Team Liquid — $175,000
- 3rd place: BetBoom Team — $120,000
- 4th place: Team Spirit — $85,000
- 5th-6th places: Team Falcons and AVULUS — $57,500 each
- 7th-8th places: Shopify Rebellion and Nigma Galaxy — $47,500 each
- 9th-10th places: BOOM Esports and Gaozu — $30,000 each
- 11th-12th places: Natus Vincere and M80 — $25,000 each
The next major event in the Dota 2 season is DreamLeague Season 25, scheduled to take place online from 16 February to 2 March. Among the first invited teams are PARIVISION, Team Liquid, BetBoom Team, and Team Falcons. The tournament will also feature a $1 million prize pool, shared among 16 competing teams.
Additionally, ESL has announced a new LAN tournament called ESL One Raleigh 2025, which promises to be another landmark event in esports with an identical prize pool of $1 million. The competition is set to take place next year, further establishing Dota 2 as one of the leading disciplines in the competitive gaming scene.
