The midlaner of Gaimin Gladiators in Dota 2, Quinn "Quinn" Callahan, hinted that the team had lost its motivation. He admitted that the team wasn't good enough, so the players needed to work harder.
"To be honest, all we can do is work harder and become stronger. We need to acknowledge that every lineup eventually loses its drive for more, especially if it has already achieved significant success. Last year, we won many tournaments. In such a situation, it's hard to maintain the same eagerness for victories.
Now this problem is becoming more apparent. It didn't happen overnight—or past satisfactory results were the first signs of the crisis that had just hit. We're simply being outplayed because we're not good enough. So now we have only one way forward: to become stronger." - Quinn "Quinn" Callahan
At ESL One Birmingham 2024, Callahan's team failed to advance from the group stage. They finished last, winning only one series in the tournament. The next event for Gaimin Gladiators will be PGL Wallachia Season 1, starting on May 10th.
Gaimin Gladiators (GG) is a Canadian esports organization that entered the Dota 2 competitive scene in February 2022 by signing Team Tickles to compete in Western Europe. In their first year, they made significant changes, parting ways with BOOM and coach ImmortalFaith in October and November respectively. However, they also made additions to their roster, with Cy- joining as a coach and Quinn joining the team in December. In the following year, GG achieved remarkable success, dominating the 2023 DPC Season by winning all three of Valve's Majors.
