Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, a member of Tundra Esports' Dota 2 roster, discussed a roster change for The International 2024, revealing that Martin "Saksa" Sazdov will replace Edgar "9Class" Naltakyan. He shared his thoughts in a video on the KD ALL IN YouTube channel.
He mentioned that they had been practising with 9Class for two weeks at bootcamp. However, they only found out about the change the day before and have only been playing with Saksa for two days. Kushnarev noted that it’s difficult because the team had grown accustomed to the previous lineup, and communication was easier with 9Class as they spoke Russian together. Nonetheless, he believes that Saksa is an excellent choice, considering the limited options they had for a stand-in.
He also mentioned that they initially planned to go to Peru and had invited Saksa, but he declined, leading them to take Immersion instead. Ultimately, they didn't attend the tournament.
The International 2024 will take place from 4 to 15 September in Copenhagen, featuring 16 teams.
