Rumour: Solo could join Virtus.pro and form new roster

Esports athlete Alexey "Solo" Berezin may potentially join the Dota 2 roster of Virtus.pro, according to a report by Esports Insiders on Telegram.

There is a possibility that Berezin will be assembling a new roster for VP in Dota 2. It remains unclear whether he will be a player or a coach in the new line-up. An official announcement has yet to be made.

Solo previously played for Virtus.pro in 2013 and again from 2016 to 2020. Most recently, Berezin was with 9Pandas, where he played from April 2023 and served as the team's captain. On July 12, the club transferred him to the reserve and put his contract up for sale.

Following a disappointing performance at Riyadh Masters 2024, Virtus.pro announced changes to their Dota 2 roster on July 24. Artem "Fng" Barshak and Vladislav "Antares" Kertman left the main roster, and on July 28, Alexander "StrangeR" Solomonov also departed from the club as the head manager.

Current Virtus.pro roster:

- Ilya "Kiritych" Ulyanov

- Ilya "Squad1x" Kuvaldin

- Evgeny "Noticed" Ignatenko

- Vladislav "Antares" Kertman
