Aleksei 'Shishak' Ustinov, a member of Nemiga Gaming's Dota 2 team, expressed frustration about ongoing bugs with the hero Pugna. According to the esports player, the developers have been neglecting these issues. The moment was shared on the Telegram channel LEDENGDWP DOTA 2.

Shishak remarked that Valve has been unable to fix bugs with Pugna for two years, with some more recent issues persisting for six months. He suggested that a community initiative may be needed to draw attention to the problem, but added that he didn't know where to raise the issue, as it seems like no one cares.

According to Dotabuff, Pugna ranks 96th in popularity among all heroes, with a win rate of 49.38% for players with over 5k MMR. At The International 2024, Pugna was picked only twice and was never banned.
