The captain of the Eastern European team 9Pandas, Alexey "Solo" Berezin, mentioned in an interview that he has no intention of ending his professional Dota 2 career this year.
He expressed that although his journey in Dota is nearing its end, it will not happen this year. He reflected on how difficult it will be to part with a game to which he has dedicated more than half of his life as a player. While the moment to step away is approaching, Solo plans to continue playing for the remainder of this year.
Berezin shared that for many years, he has contemplated whether to continue playing or move on to something else. Each year, however, he finds the strength and motivation to keep chasing his dream. This year, in particular, was tough for him competitively, as he faced a lack of success, including failing to qualify for The International. He admitted that he wasn’t entirely satisfied with the team and its roster. Thus, he now aims to prove himself in a strong, competitive team and hopes to end his career on a high note.
Earlier, the esports organisation 9Pandas revealed their new Dota 2 roster, which included the return of Solo, who had been benched and placed on the transfer list earlier this year in July.
