Uzbekistan esports player Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev has assembled a team to compete in the open qualifiers for The International 2024 in Dota 2 for Western Europe. The team is named EggiEggi.
Joining him on the team are Max “qojqva” Bröcker, Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau, and Marcel "Ekki" Golowienko. The second support role will be filled by a relatively unknown player, Amorlis.
The qualifiers began at 5:00 PM Moscow time on June 7th, with 67 teams registered. They are competing for one spot in the closed qualifiers. The winner of the first tournament was Team Bald, led by Jonas “SabeRLight-“ Volek.
Butaev has not competed professionally since September 2023. After leaving StoRm, he decided to take a short break. Recently, he has been actively streaming on Twitch and hinted at a comeback.
