German mid-laner for AVULUS, Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau, has shared his tier list of heroes most suited to the current Dota 2 meta. His analysis divides heroes into five categories: "Awesome", "Not bad", "Possibly", "You might lose", and "You lost".
- Awesome: Earth Spirit, Invoker, Earthshaker.
- Not bad: Puck, Pangolier, Storm Spirit.
- Possibly: Lina, Leshrac, Sniper.
- You might lose: Ember Spirit, Primal Beast.
- You lost: Outworld Destroyer.
According to Stormstormer, these rankings reflect his observations and experience in matches within the current patch.
In addition to his meta insights, Schoetzau opened up about his adaptation process within AVULUS during an interview on the DreamLeague Season 24 broadcast. Joining the team three months after its formation, he had to quickly integrate himself as the newest member.
"I had to get used to my new teammates and their behaviour, both in-game and outside of it. For instance, at bootcamp, I met SoNNeikO and Smiling Knight for the first time, although I was already familiar with Ekki and Mag. It was all about building relationships, as maintaining good connections both inside and outside the game is crucial."
The mid-laner also highlighted the importance of handling setbacks constructively:
"We’ve definitely learned how to express criticism without it turning into attacks on each other. Learning how to cope with losses is a healthy approach. For instance, at PGL Wallachia Season 2, our expectations weren’t met, but we made significant improvements by learning from those experiences."
Stormstormer emphasised two key factors for team growth: managing defeats effectively and fostering stronger personal bonds within the roster.
