Team Golovach won 2-time world champion in Dota 2

Team Golovach defeated Team Korb3n in the group stage of the BetBoom Streamers Battle 8 in Dota 2, with a final score of 1:0. Sergey "LenaGolovach" managed to avenge his idol, Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk, a two-time world champion, for past taunts. Remarkably, despite Yatoro’s approximately 15k MMR, compared to LenaGolovach’s significantly lower rank, Sergey managed to outperform Yatoro during the laning phase, even killing him and winning the lane.

Former teammate of Yatoro, Mira, shared his thoughts on LenaGolovach's performance:

"Honestly, I’m not sure how many PTS he has, but he played really well. A lot of impact, good item choices, took auras, Shiva’s Guard, and just tanked everything. He pressed his buttons—what more can you ask? He landed his stuns, initiated. No complaints. Centaur Warrunner [LenaGolovach] carried the game solo. It was a 1x9 match. Honestly, I don’t know why Korb3n’s team lost to him. Now they’ll have to publicly apologise for losing. Mars [Lagoona] had zero impact—it’s clear that’s not their hero."

LenaGolovach commented on his victory over the world’s top carry:

"A win against a two-time TI champion, but it’s too soon to celebrate. I feel like I didn’t play my best and could have done better."

BetBoom Streamers Battle 8 is taking place online from 16 to 23 November. Twelve teams are competing for a prize pool of ₽4 million, with the tournament’s MVP set to receive ₽200,000.
