The Swedish team, Team Liquid, made history at The International 2024 by becoming the first champion in Dota 2 to win the tournament without losing a single map in the playoffs.
Before this, all previous TI winners had dropped at least one map during the final stage. The previous record was held by Tundra Esports, who lost one map in the playoffs of The International 2022.
The International 2024 took place from September 4 to 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark, featuring 16 teams. The tournament's prize pool exceeded $2.5 million.
