Team Liquid faced Team Spirit in the grand final of the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall, where Michal Nisha Jankowski's team emerged victorious with a clean 3:0 scoreline, claiming the tournament championship.
During the second map of the grand final, Nisha encountered a bug at the 46th minute while playing Earth Spirit. The cooldown for his Rolling Boulder ability froze at three seconds. Nisha paused the game to discuss the issue with both teams, and they collectively attempted to resolve it. After several unsuccessful attempts, it was decided that Nisha would intentionally die on the enemy fountain to reset the bug. In a show of sportsmanship, Denis "larl" Sigityov from Team Spirit, playing Invoker, did the same to maintain fair play. While the midlaners respawned, the teams agreed to continue the match by engaging in a battle at Roshan's pit.
Despite the cooperative resolution of the bug, Team Liquid went on to dominate the second map and subsequently secured victory in the third. Team Liquid took home the $50,000 prize, while Team Spirit earned $30,000. Gaimin Gladiators finished third, defeating PARIVISION, and were awarded $15,000 and $5,000, respectively.
Team Spirit's captain commented on the loss:
"Initially, we viewed this tournament as preparation. We wanted to experiment with heroes and strategies. Of course, we got crushed in the final, which stings a bit. But it's not a big deal. We'll learn from these matches and use them as experience for the upcoming tournaments. Thanks for the support!"
The 1win Series Dota 2 Fall ran online from 19–22 November, featuring eight teams competing for a $100,000 prize pool.
