Team Roster Updates in the Esports Scene

Chimera Esports has announced its new Dota 2 roster, which includes several prominent players from the CIS region. The new team members are:

  • Aibek 'TA2000' Tokaev (Kazakhstan),
  • Artem 'Lorenof' Melnik (Ukraine),
  • Nikita 'Daxak' Kuzmin (Russia),
  • Ivan 'OneJey' Zhivitsky (Belarus),
  • Nikita 'Pantomem' Balaganin (Belarus),
  • Gennady 'GuessWho' Filatov (Russia, Coach).

This announcement has sparked significant discussion in the esports community, particularly regarding potential changes in the support role. Vladislav “BLACKARXANGEL” Ivashchenko noted that the fifth position is currently a tough spot, with many players awaiting more lucrative offers. He mentioned potential candidates for this role, including Pantomem, Dukalis, Malady, and Fishman, who are currently under contract with other teams but may become available soon.

On the other hand, Svyatoslav “Fran-” Orlovsky, the manager of Hydra, expressed doubt about constant roster shuffling, stating that repeatedly changing players doesn’t lead to long-term success. He advocated for a strategy of bringing in 1-2 experienced players and nuturing newcomers to achieve stable, lasting results.

Waska is also undergoing roster changes. For the FISSURE Playground qualifiers, the team will feature Brazilian player William “hFn” Medeiros, who has previously played for NoPing, Pain, SG, and other South American teams. The manager of Waska also stated that the team is still looking for a permanent organisation and is open to offers. The current roster includes: hFn (trial), DarkMago, Sacred, Matthew, Yadomi, and Dpms (coach).

Finally, it’s worth noting that Waska recently finished in 8th place at DreamLeague 24, with Yeremi “payk” Arroyo playing for the team at the time. In the ESL One Bangkok qualifiers, Christian “Pakazs” Savina represented Waska.

Esports rosters continue to evolve, with teams like Chimera Esports and Waska actively preparing for the challenges ahead in the Dota 2 scene.
