Team Struggled with Personal Matters Before Bali Major, Says Maria Gunina

Maria "Inverno" Gunina, former strategy director of the 9Pandas team, revealed that one of the players wanted to bring his mistress to a Dota 2 tournament.

"Social media reminded me that I was at the Bali Major a year ago. This, in turn, reminded me of a question we couldn't reach a consensus on: can one of the players bring his mistress to the tournaments? It's great that with my departure, any conflicts related to this difficult issue disappeared, as the team simply stopped qualifying for tournaments," Gunina said.

At the tournament, 9Pandas featured Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov, Matvey "MieRo" Vasyunin, Roman "RAMZES" Kushnarev, Vladislav "Antares" Kertman, and Alexey "Solo" Berezin. The team placed 5th-6th and earned $25,000.

The Bali Major 2023 took place from June 29 to July 9 in Indonesia. Teams competed for $500,000 and 3,500 DPC points. The tournament was won by Gaimin Gladiators.
