On the first day of The International 2024, viewers were unable to watch matches through Dota TV, as the broadcasts in Dota 2 were down for over five hours. Although the tournament began, users could not access the initial games via Dota TV in the game client. After five hours, the broadcast tab in Dota 2 was restored. Due to this issue, community casters and users had to watch the games through official streams.
The International 2024 is taking place from 4 to 15 September in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sixteen teams are competing for the Aegis of Champions and a prize pool of $2.4 million.
