Content creator Alexander "Nix" Levin from Russia expressed his views on the current state of matchmaking in Dota 2 during his personal Twitch stream.
He criticised the state of matchmaking, calling it a "mess" and lamented that developers are not monitoring the situation. Levin stated that cheating and account boosting are rampant, with many players exploiting Double Down in dead regions to obtain high-ranked accounts. He added that the problem is exacerbated by the cheap sale of accounts and widespread use of map hacks, which has made matchmaking a "complete disaster" compared to the past.
Earlier, Levin also shared some advice with viewers on how to navigate matchmaking in Dota 2.
