Esports players Erik "tOfu" Engel and Georgiy "swedenstrong" Zainalabidov shared their picks for the favorites in the upcoming 2024 UEFA European Championship. Both agreed that the French national team would be the top contender.
"I usually don't watch soccer, but during the European Championship, I have to watch and support my home country, Germany! As a child, I played soccer a lot, but nothing special. It's so popular that every kid starts playing it atan early age, but now I play Dota 2. Regarding the upcoming Euro 2024, I consider the French national team the main favorite," said Erik "tOfu" Engel.
"For me, the favorites are England and France, but I will be rooting for the German national team in the tournament. I played soccer a lot in my childhood, and attended matches for about 6-7 years, so I love the game, and it’s close to my heart. However, since I started playing Dota 2, I stopped following and playing soccer altogether. I just returned to watching matches a couple of months ago," expressed Georgiy "swedenstrong" Zainalabidov.
The European Championship will begin on June 14 in Germany, with 24 teams competing for the title of the continent's best national team.
